March 8, 2020, was International Women’s Day (IWD). International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
An equal world is an enabled world. Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender-equal world. The IWD 2020 campaign theme was “Equal for Equal”. Collectively, we can make change happen. Collectively, we can each help to create a gender-equal world. We can all choose to be #EachforEqual.
The Women’s Advisory Forum held a contest for our members. To celebrate #EqualforEqual, on IDW, WAF asked our members to wear purple (the official color of IWD), position their arms out front and STRIKE THE #EachforEqual POSE to motivate others and to make International Women’s Day OUR day.
We received many wonderful photo submissions from around the country and we are proud to announce this year’s winner!
The winners of the 2020 International Women’s Day #EqualforEqual Photo Competition is…
