The first New York WAF lunch and learn was a great opportunity to learn other people’s tasks, responsibilities, and professional development needs, and it encouraged teamwork as well as cooperation.

The lunch and learn focused on “women and the labyrinth of leadership.” If we can understand the various barriers that make up this labyrinth, and how some women find their way around them, we can work more effectively to improve the situation.” It was a “safe” environment where everyone was able to manifest and develop their confidence. The opportunity to speak freely and collaborate with others allowed everyone to feel engaged.
