LaTarsha Wilkins currently works as a SP+ Facility Manager in Shreveport, Louisiana. LaTarsha joined the Company in March 2011 as a Cashier for our Houston operations, and was quickly promoted to Lead Cashier, and later as Assistant Facility Manager.
LaTarsha’s continued hard work and dedication both personally and professionally has paid off. Alongside her professional career, LaTarsha raised 3 daughters, has 2 grandchildren, and another grandchild on the way.
When asked if she ever imagined herself working as a Facility Manager when she was hired in 2011, she laughed and said “No,” and explained how she originally was set on becoming a nurse. She quickly realized that perhaps nursing was not the correct path for her, and that she really liked working in parking. LaTarsha is grateful to the following colleagues for helping her succeed at SP+: Bertha Carter and John White who for first hired her as a Cashier, Kevin Knighton for giving her a chance as the Assistant FM, Keith Jordan who helped mentor and teach her about the industry, and Kalynn Fluces who inspired her as she also started with the company as a Cashier and worked to become an Assistant Area Manager.
LaTarsha is excited to be at the next level in her career and to be on this journey. When asked “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” “Senior Manager,” she replied with a smile.
