Amira Valdez, a former WAF scholarship recipient, was recently promoted to Senior Manager for Region 51 in Chicago. Amira received the scholarship in 2016, and is currently studying Accounting and Business Management. The award has allowed her to take courses that she’d been wanting to take for a long time.
“The courses I am taking now go over content related to business management, and I am hopeful I will be able to utilize what I learn in my new role,” commented Amira on how the scholarship has shaped her career.
